The Cradle Mountain Discovery Holiday Park provides comfortable accommodation in the Cradle Valley, central north west Tasmania. The Cradle Mountain Discovery Holiday Park is located on the edge of magnificent, world-renowned Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Accommodation options range from campsites and backpacker accommodation through to the comfort of spa cottages. The cabins have a compact kitchen, separate bathroom, heating, television with Foxtel, and sleep up to 6 guests comfortably. Cottage accommodation has the added bonus of a sitting room with gas log heater, a larger kitchen and sleeps 4-5 in 2 bedrooms. Some cottages offering a private spa.
Backpacker accommodation sleeps up to 4 guests per room; there are powered and unpowered camp sites situated in individual bush alcoves for people travelling with campervans, motorhomes or caravans. Guests are welcome to use the communal kitchen with large log fire, barbecue area and laundry facilities. There is an excellent shop on site, pay telephones and internet access. Cradle Mountain is simply spectacular, jagged contours give an instant feel feel of a wild landscape. From this caravan park in Cradle Mountain, you can visit ancient rainforest and alpine heathlands, babbling streams cascading from rugged mountains and see abundant wildlife in their natural habitat. Cradle Mountain is in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania, Australia. Cradle Mountain rises to a height of 1,545 metres above sea level and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tasmania.The mountain is composed of dolerite columns, similar to many of the other mountains in the area. One of the world’s best multi-day walks starts here, the famous Overland Track, that leads up hill and down dale through a variety of extraordinary landscapes to finish 80 kilometres to the south at Lake St.Clair.
